Well work the last two days has been ...well eventful sort of...1st used up the last of our elastic material and the next order doesn't come in until tomorrow afternoon so that means - CLEANING and lots of it. Engineers decided to do up grades on the line and what not. So yesterday 2nd shift (thats me and well the people I work with) started the massive amount of cleaning. I got lucky and was able to do some training but I wasn't lucky for long our engineer is working on a better way to input the data from testing onto the computer and so he was hanging over my shoulder as I was training. He makes me nervous- real nice guy not mean or grumpy at all but something about him makes me really nervous so having him there was bad enough but he was waiting for us to finish testing and got bored I guess and decided it would be entertaining to test me on how well I knew what I was doing. I was proud of myself I was able to answer everything he asked me. I thought I had breezed through with out making a fool of myself- no such luck - I go to open the program and type in the password for it and everything and he haults me
"whats wrong with that screen" he asked
"Uh nothing, that I can see"
"Are you sure" he asked
"Um, I guess not cuz clearly I'm missing something"
"When eas the last time the program was up dated"
How stupid can I be in bright red letters in the bottom right hand corner it said NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE- wheres the nearest rock for me to climb under. So that was the main bit of yesterday
TODAY-
SNOW- start the work day out with snow- just as we thought that MAYBE just maybe spring was on it way we get snow- now I know thats something special for those of you in the south but we had the nice pretty snow in Dec. and we've had the nice warm weather for January with no snow now we get bitter cold days with snow- come on get make up your mind- I personally am ready for spring- I miss the sun...anyways back to work
More cleaning just not as hard and not as much though it was enough to leave me sore for the night. Well my group leader decided that if we spent all 8 hrs cleaning there would be nothing to for 3rd shift to do tonight so we got extended breaks and pizza (and so will 3rd shift) anyways so my group leader and a couple others got out the cribage board and played a few games. I had been watching on for a couple weeks and had cought on to some of it and they let me team up with someone and play a few hands so NOW I KNOW HOW TO PLAY CRIBAGE :D...tonight I worked hard and hardly worked at the same time- how wonderful can that be. Oh and Nick came wabaling in today as well (he's the guy that is the only one on our line that is near my age)- he is currently in a waking cast and should be back to work by the end of next week (dont know really what he did to it) but it was nice to see him...it feels wierd not having his up beat hyper energy around...
well I think thats it for tonight- Im going to get food, talking to Joshie online for alittle bit, then dig into my book for awhile, sleep and get up and work out tomorrow- thats the plan :D
Good night everyone
