This has felt like a really long weekend. Maybe its because I didn't work on Friday dont know but its been awhile sence the weekend hasn't flown by. Friday was spent at the GoFish concert which I already posted an over the top excited post below- go ahead and roll your eyes at me -LOL
Saturday got Jessa up about 8ish in the morning and we went to Eau Claire to do some shopping...I got two shirts that I can where to work- one says El Loco on it which fits me starting about 9 pm- about 2am when I am wired on caffine. I got a nice modest swimming suite at Target (I love Target) and I needed brown dress shoes and I couldn't decide between two pair so I went ahead and bought them both which I don't normally do that but you can never have to many shoes- though I think the one pair I'll bring back because the right shoe pinces my toes and I will admite that my mom was right they are slightly to high- high heels are ok I can wear them but these push it a bit...anyways oh and I FINELLY got my safety glasses so tomorrow I won't have to wear the "goggles" (big glasses that I had to wear over my normal ones)- so yeah between Friday and Saturday I spent alot of money :S but God has blest me with a wonderful job and so its been fun spoiling myself but the spoiling is over time to save save save.
After we got back from shopping we had to finish packing because we spent the weekend in Princton, MN for their youth retreat. My parents, Jess and I stayed at a hotel but Joleesa went to Autumn's it was so nice to be away from home. I had been itching for a trip- mince the flying and so doing the whole hotel thing was a nice, peaceful comfort.
Saturday night we got to hear Sis. Kim Taylor preach which Sis. Kim is awesome. Her message was wonderful- but please don't ask me what it was about because she said a few things that my mind stuck on and so I missed some of it. But the part that stuck on me was when she talked about the adults, those who aren't youth, needing to be in there prayer closests on their knees for the youth praying them through the trails and she said a whole lot more but that stuck with me...Lord was there someone in their prayer closet for me praying me through these trails- was their prayers there when I felt like I couldn't pray -I couldn't get that thought out of my mind and an amazing and overwelming amount of love washed over me and then Sis. Kim had all of those that werent youth form a circle around the youth and pray for us. I had finelly gotten to the point with it being nice just to have it be God and me but I can't even begin to explain what it felt like to have others praying for me-after the alter service I felt so much stronger and lighter for once I left it all there at the alter and I have no intentions of picking it all back up. I'm not going to weep over it anymore or dwell on it- I'm taking my victory this time and holding onto it with a everything I have. I'm tired of feeling discouraged and alone and spiritually worn down. My faviort quote is by A.J. Tominson "There is Victory on top of Victory for the Church of God" well I'm a member of the church which means "there is Victory on top of Victory for me"
Can you guess that I feel good :D ... oh and after service we went back and played games- I love to play games and I believe we played PassWord- it was awesome everyone got invovled even my dad and my dad rarely will do games. I don't have much of a social life and most of the time that is ok but I have been in dire need for sometime spent with people and so this weekend my social needs got met and my spiritual needs got met it was just an overall nice weekend...We also stoped in to see my grandparents-my grandpa is silly the things he gets a thrill out of you just can't help smile and laugh at and then we stoped at Cabela's which is an awesome story... I don't even know how to discribe it...its the largest hunting, fishing, camping supply place with these awesome life size outdoor sceans with taxi durmy animals.... go to www.cabelas.com click on retail store and they have a short video you can see if your would like to see what I am talking about...it was awesome.
Oh and Laena and Dustin you must read "The Witness" I'm near saying this is her best book- she did something in this book that she hasn't done in all of her other ones- Im almost done with but Im already giving it an A+++
well that is all for tonight I am going to read
God Bless
