The Long Awaited Pictures

This is what everyone saw when they came back from supper. It turned out far better then I could have imagined. A few things I would have changed like the size of the signs on the rugged crosses and I would have put names of those who died and stood for Christ on the white crosses up front. Oh and I would have loved that all of the crosses I made been there not sure were 2 beat up crosses went and were 1 white cross went but things like that happen. What was my favorite was how the flames looked in the dark....

This a close up of the white crosses- I'm glad that last minute we thought to add the flags...there was 5 cross on 1 side of the large cross and 4 on the other (like I said 1 was missing)

Then in the center we had the large cross that stood nicely in the tree stand in front of the firey flames of hell that I created....told ya it was odd to have hell be so pretty hehe

I love how you can see the shadow in front of the cross and also see the wood cross behind the flames like its another shadow...does a good job showing that Christ dieing on the cross truly is the only thing that protects us from the flames of hell.

On both sides going down the pews were really beat up crosses- hehe I kind of got carried away and 1 broke from being to beat up. They were so broken up that we had to duck tape them to the pews so they wouldnt fall over. They each had a sign above it- Drugs, Sex, Rebillion and power on one side. On the other side was Money, Lying, Cheating, and Alochol. We walked down 2 by 2 singing

" I have Decided to Follow Jesus" and then when we all got seated sang the 4th verse "The Cross before the World hide...no turning back no turning back..."

Then Sis. Nowling went on to preach about the dress, talk and walk of a soldier. I think she had a lot of fun yelling out commands and playing the role I guess of a General...hehee...I'm just glad she isn't that way at home. The message was really good and very much a blessing. She closed out the message with an alter call for the young people to rededicate their lifes to Christ. The Holy Ghost really moved on the young people. I heard a lot of weeping but also a lot of rejoicing. She then had all of the lights turned off and pointed out that the crosses on the tshirts glowed in the dark. Mentioning that even in this dark world we need to follow the cross.

We then did a quick clean up of the props so Bro. Jackson wouldn't indanger himself while preaching-hehe. He helped carry the large cross out and managed to get several specks of glitter on his face so as he was preaching he was sparkling -hehe (yes I was slightly distracted) After we cleaned up Bro. Aviles called Sis. Brenda up and she presented mom with a wonderful card and two animated pigs-lol- the whole pig thing is from camp. Cabin Clean up was a huge commititive thing in our camp and whoever lost the counsler would have to carry this stuffed pig around. Bro. Aviles got the pig I think every year but one- lol-

These pigs walk and do flips- I think they make noise as well but Im not sure I couldn't tell from where I was sitting... I did get a video of it but you can't hear because we were all singing. The people really enjoyed a chorus Dustin taught me which is called "Enemies Camp" and mom always has a struggle remembering how it goes and has me start it out... Well this is the song they wanted to sing - so mom looks to me to start it out and I could barely sing- my voice decided to disert me but we managed to get through it.

This was the hardest part for me...I knew I was going to cry my eyes out- I told Jessy the night before that I would. We've been here in this region for 11 years. A lot of the people feel like family. I was good with the hugs and talking to people but when Sis. Brenda was honoring mom for her work at camp and then Bro. Aviles did like wise for our work in the region I lost it. I couldn't stop crying. I thank the Lord so much that many are going to the assembly. The thought that many I won't ever see again is so hard.

Oh yeah there is a picture of the shirts- I'll see if I can find a better one to show you a close up...Im am so happy with them. Im glad they tweaked my design because this just works much better then what I had.

Everything just turned out so wonderful...

After Bro. Jackson preached some went back to teh alter and the Jackson sang -which I was unable to get a video of that because I was to busy being the Church of God popuratize- hehe- I was taking a few pictures with my camera and A.J. waved me up onto the stag and asked me to get his camera and take pictures for him- I was like sure...then someone requested a song so I went up to tell Bro. Jackson and he then asked me to get his camera and take pictures. So I had 3 camera's on my wrist and I was walking around taking pictures...wishing someone would get a picture of how crazy I looked :P...When taking pictures of the services I try real hard to make sure Im not being a disturbence to either those praying at the alter or whoever is preaching. I know a flash in the face can be distracting so I was really happy with the fact that the pictures turned out better without the falsh which isnt normal. So I was able to get some really great pictures and over the next couple days I'll put the rest on my photo blog.

Wow this getting long- I hope the pictures don't disappoint ya'll I know many of you mention how much you were looking forward to seeing them.

Much ♥
