When the Parents Are Grocery Shopping....

We go play with costumes... There is nothing good about Hollowen other then Jessy's birthday and that stores have fun things to play with while my mom and dad are grocery shopping.

This was at Fred Myers which if you don't know what that is it's like a Walmart supper center. Which we don't have btw. Though I kind of noticed that Fred Myers prices are higher.

Well I thought I would share these- we had fun and had people laughing at us :P dont blame them hehe

Ha! Great pictures. Oh, to be young and stupid again. (Old and stupid is pretty fun, too, though!) We used to do dumb things like that all the time. Although, I would have been the one taking the pictures, not the ones acting like idiots in front of the whole world! Ha!

Ah, yes . . . young and stupid. I remember it well. Chinese fire drills were a necessity whenever we'd have 10 or 12 people crammed in our big brown stationwagon. *hee hee* Does anybody know what a Chinese fire drill is anymore? But, like Becki said, "old and stupid" is a lot of fun, too. I ought to know! *grinning*

this should be interesting but what is a chinese firedrill??? I've never heard of it hehe

I am happy!! Things aren't perfect up here and adjusting is kind of hard but its so nice to not be alone like we were in Wisconsin.

oooops that was me. I was working on mom and dad's blog and forgot I was on their account

For real? You really don't know what a Chinese fire drill is? How sad. What is this world coming to? The fine arts of short-sheeting and Chinese fire drills are foreign to the poor, deprived youth of today. Back in the olden days when we didn't have x-boxes (I think that's some sort of hand held computer game, right???) or all the other electronic, mind-numbing gadgets, we made our own fun. *sigh* Poor young people of today. How much imagination you've missed out on. Okay. So it's like this: You load up a BUNCH of young people in a vehicle (of course back in the olden days nobody EVER wore seat belts, so it would be a bit trickier to do this with today's laws), but when you stop at a red light downtown all four doors FLY OPEN and EVERYBODY jumps out and makes a circle around the vehicle and jumps back in (and, of course, buckles up these days) before the light turns green. *hee hee* It's loads of fun. Stupid, yes. But loads of fun. That's probably what makes it so much fun. Also, it's catching the look of horror and alarm on the driver and passengers of the vehicles behind or beside you when all the doors fly open and people pile out! HA! Just thinking about some of my experiences makes me smile!

P.S. - It's wise to coordinate ahead of time which DIRECTION you all should travel. If some go clockwise and even one goes counter clockwise, it makes for some nasty collisions. (Been there, done that) :-)

I was going to tell her but I thought you'd get a kick out of her not knowing. Then I went on to tell her how we did it when I was at TC and we did it with the vehicle still moving and climbing over seats...not too smart to say the least and seeing it was my Ford Pinto, I was kicking myself over and over again saying I can't believe we actually did that.

Fearless and young are two synonomous words.

ROFLOL!! that sounds awesome!!!

Sis. Smith people have neglected to educate me in this area of stuides hehe. (btw you do know an xbox isn't a handheld computer game right- that was just a joke?)

Mom thats to funny- though I'm gonna have to google what a Ford Pinto is I don't know if I've ever seen one before

Vicki Smith said...

Uh . . . riiiight. Sure! Ummm, it was a joke. Okay, I'm lying--I have NO IDEA what an xbox is, I've just heard the name. As for all these hand-held computer games, I have NO IDEA what they are or what they're called and my grandchildren will likely NEVER receive one for a birthday or Christmas present from this old-fashioned grandma. Lincoln logs, tinker toys, jump ropes, jacks, train sets and stuff like that they'll receive. I lost all track of computerized games about the time Nintendo's hit the scene. I remember PacMan and Mrs. PacMan and Frogger. That's about it. They're just too graphic, menacing and realistic now. So . . . there you have my view on today's pass times, even though you didn't ask. Sorry!

So, what's an xbox? (I'll educate you on Chinese fire drills and you educate me on xboxes, deal?)

The Middle J said...

I can do that- an xbox is the newest gaget that plays video games, dvds, cds and all that wonderful stuff. I guess its known for the game Halo. I've only used it for DvDs so I'm not the best to ask but I'm sure others can enlighten you more on this. hehe

Tinker Toys were like one of my favorites as a kid!!!

LOL Oh no I feel so old! She doesn't know what a Ford Pinto is. Brother Nowling had one too. Mine had 9 lives. Everyone borrowed it at TC and ran on fumes. And one Ford Pinto key worked on any Ford Pinto.
