First and for most Josh needs prayer he took a bad fall on the ice going out to his car tonight and now is on our couch with a messed up knee for the night. The poor guy is in a lot of pain. What a way to welcome in winter.
Well today was the first real snow fall we've got about 3 inches of snow and layers and layers of ice. It's all so pretty well not the ice but the snow coming down I love it. This may not make sense but it made me feel at home. Its something familiar- crazy I know but I loved it- I love it!
This was taken just seconds walking out the door to head to work about 8:30a.m.- up this is winter in Alaska- it starts to get light about 9ish and dark at about 7ish

This was while Josh and I waited for Ray and Kim (the owners) to get there to open the store. Josh has a key but doesn't know the security code not that it mattered. The alarm went off anyways and the security people called with in seconds of disabling the alarm.

This is Kristin- this guy is a nut- I think he's the most expressive person I've met. He can't talk with out using hand motions and dramatic facial expressions. Its entertaining watching him with customers. He was playing in the snow while we waited for Kim and Ray. We weren't smart enough to wait in a nice warm car. Even I admit after about 20 minutes of waiting I was even getting cold.

Josh was beyond cold. He though his cow boy hat would keep him warm then realize the Green Bay Packer stocking hat would be warmer *rolls eyes* My camera batteries then proceeded to go dead other wise I would have a video of Kristin trying to line dance which was not quite as comical as him trying to jump up on the counter today and missing - guys *rolls eyes*

Thanks for sharing the snow pictures. I LOVE the snow, and really miss it. I've discovered that folks in this part of the country FREAK OUT and are SCARED TO DEATH of snow. At the very mention of snow in the forecast they all race to the store and empty the shelves of milk, bread and toilet paper. Weird combination!
Sounds like you are enjoying the snow. The storm you are getting now is the storm I think that we are waiting on. So far, we've only gotten rain, but who knows what we'll get on the way home. I'll say a prayer for Josh.
Looks like you're having a blast in your winter wonderland up there! I want to enjoy the fall that finally got here before we actually progress to snow. Not that TN gets much snow, anyway. :-/
Praying for Josh's knee! Doesn't he know how to get around up there by now? ;-)
Poor guy!
Sis. Smith- Do you not get much snow in VA?? I don't think I could live in a place that didn't have snow..but then again it would be entertaining to see people freak out
Momma Tammi- Has the weather there been cold enough for snow??
Rachel- He should know- expessially sense I told him after I cam in from outside "Becareful its icey out- walk on the grass" he didn't listen ;~P I love fall!! but there is something exciting about winter and snow that I love too.
BTW- Josh is doing some what better he did drive home last night- hopefully he's doing even better. I just haven't talked to him yet today.
Virginia doesn't get much snow, and I suspect I'll see even less in TN. *waaah!* Becki and Tammy Kaufman got stranded in a blizzard Thursday night at the CO/NM border. They were SO EXCITED!!! They were holed up in a motel room with all their Ladies' Retreat snacks and games. Becki LOVES the snow and has really missed it the past 3 years she's lived in TX, so she was one happy camper! :-)
