Its Saturday and not only is it Saturday but its the Saturday before Christmas and Im up at 8am getting ready for work. Thats right the week of Christmas I'm putting in almost 50 hrs- I'm tired and have decided that there are two jobs that come Christmas time become pretty crummy jobs :P Retail and Delivery- Dad headed out the door to do the last deliveries before Christmas at 5am. He's driving around making peoples day because they're gifts arrived just in time but there will some disappointed people because he's not supper man and won't be able to make everyone happy. People will walk into our store today and be highly disappointed that we are sold out of just about every main item we carry. Its Christmas yet people are rude, impatient and cranky....its insane.... we sold out of iPod shuffles at 5pm last night- other then the fact that we were the only place that had them to begin with we arent a supper store that carries supper stock on everything and people dont get that.
On the cool note is my check is going to be real nice hehe- we're short two sales guys so Ive picked up the slack which means not only have I had awesome sales but Ive gotten several spiffs - there will be at least an extra $200-$250 on my check if not more....money isn't everything but it sure helps make all the hard work worth it hehe
This hasnt been what I expect Christmas in Alaska to be- ha living up here isn't what we expected but we're making it God is always with us... It takes energy to get excited about Christmas and I know most of us are going off of borrowed energy. I know the real meaning of Christmas- its not about the present I have yet to wrap :-P Its not about what my family gets me. Its about being with my family and celebrating Christ's love for us and the many wonderful gifts He's given and for me its being with my family and for at least 2 days being able to sit back and enjoy being with them....I hope that happens lol
Well I've got to go blow dry my hair and head off to work....

All that we have experienced in the last year has made this a weird feeling Christmas for a lot of us. A lot of the changes that we have gone through have affected us in ways that we never expected. Nevertheless, we can enjoy being with our families and thanking God for sending His greatest gift, Christ. Oh yeah, in spite of the hateful customers (I love doing this to grumps) smile, be oh-so-nice-and-helpful and wish them a very Merry Christmas! They just don't know how to react when someone does that to them. ~hee hee~ Orneryness can be so much fun sometimes! ~giggle~ Merry Christmas girly!
