Wow!!! This weekend has been insane and so much fun. Yesterday was our company Christmas party. From beginning to end it was so much fun. I've never worked at a place where I've been so close to my bosses. Kim and Ray (the owners) are truly wonderful people and the cutest couple. I was suppose to meet Kim at 9a.m. to go shopping but her poor tired brain forgot that we set it for 9a.m. I ended up meeting up with Ray at the store. It was cool going in and not having to work. He then took me back to there house and Kim, Ashley (Ray and Kim's 14yr old daughter( did some baking and then Kim and I headed out to get the gage gifts for the awards. That was
so much fun. All the gifts got good laughs.
This was one of the awards. Phil for Halloween ended up dressing up like a blonde
girl. So we gave him the "Blonde Barbie" Award and got him a Barbie Then we headed to Sea Galley for our Christmas dinner. I opened the menu and got price shock. I was scared to order not because of the price because I'm seriously not one to try new things but considering I didn't have to pay for it they were all encouraging me to try something new like crab or lobster.
I'm not a fish person. It does taste really good I have a hard time though getting past the smell and look. I did end up trying Snow Crab legs..... umm it was interesting. The meat tasted good but I think it was a good first and last time experience. Thankfully I had prime rib. My actual order was Prime Rib with a side of Snow crab legs. I ended up only sampling my crab legs and then shared them with Kristian, Phil and Josh. They loved them and said they were yummy and they were.
After all of the excitement of the new food experience we went back to Kim and Ray's house and did a Chinese gift exchange. The first thing I opened was a waffle maker now some probably thought I was bummed to get the gift but they didn't know I LOVE waffles. The waffle maker being mine was short lived though Ray stole it from me :( So as custom to the process of a Chinese gift exchange I opened a new gift. It was a black leather rocker chair, with pop and Pringles to go with it. I was shocked and thrilled slightly worried mom would annoyed to have yet one more thing in her house. Well that too got stolen from me so I had to go for another gift and decided to take a Barnes & Nobles gift card from someone :D but if you've caught the pattern of my luck then you know what happened that too got stolen. So I stole back my chair. It was passed around 3 times so when it got to me it was dead and officially mine. Hehe!
There is Phil chilled out in my chair during our Taboo game. After opening gifts we snacked on the treats Kim, Ashley and I made and played lots of game two of which I had never played before. Wacky 6 which is awesome and I want to find it and the other is Imagine If which I also want to find. I got to meet Phil's wife May. The picture is of Brittni, myself and May. The cute dog is Princess who comes into work all of
the time.
We didn't leave the Long's until close after 12a.m. its the Best!! Christmas party I've ever been to. No drinking, no smoking, no dirty jokes, good clean fun. It was the most relaxed and comfortable party I've been too. Heres a few random pictures of the night.
This Dan receiving his gage gift- he's been doing alot of traveling. Actually next weekend he's heading to Okinawa, Japan to spend Christmas with his parents who are in the Air Force.
This is Kristian with his play money. He's known as the Spiff Master. At work we have spiffs or commission on certain items and Kristian rocks at selling those items but getting him to sell something that doesn't have a spiff on it is kind of hard so we pick on him for it.
Actually we pick on Kristian a lot... Expessially the guys. They were wrestling and Ray brought out a chair and pinned Kristian with it and Phil sat down. I work with a great group of guys!!
Ray explaining the rules of the Chinese gift exchange. He tried saying that he gets whatever he gift he wants at the end. Well he's the one who took my waffle maker :P he's got good taste in gifts hehe
Last but not least is a good picture of Kim, her daughter Ashley and then Dan is beside them. This was as we were getting ready for opening gifts. The Longs have a beautiful house and they made us all feel welcome and comfortable.
Its getting kind of late and this is getting really long so I'll tell you about the VLB Christmas party that we had tonight tomorrow by then I'll have pictures to go with it. It was so fun too.
God Bless
and Good Night!!!

Wow! You guys had a great time at your work Christmas party. I'm a little jealous of your co-worker heading to Kadena AB for Christmas though. I've been thinking a lot about the base and how much I learned there. It was the hardest four years and the best four years rolled into one. I really do miss living in Okinawa Japan.
He's talked about it and it sounds like beautiful place. I told him he had to take lots of pictures hehe then he heads off to Hawaii so not fair
I had a blast!
I didn't get your email. Did you get my last email?
Ok I've sent you one with the link- you said you loved it and needed help to get it on your blog. Then I sent you an email with the template codes. Which its sounding like you didn't get.
I'll try resending it and see if you get it. I know understand the confusion hehe
That post was fun to look at and read. So glad that you have a good job with good people. :)
BTW, did you ever say what you brought to the gift exchange?
Im glad it was fun to read- Its been a while sense Ive had so much fun.
I got this really cool iPod kit that comes with just about everything you'd need for an iPod. The Long's exchange student Ink (She's from Germany) got the gift I brought
