Yesterday and this morning I wasn't as excited about this whole apartment moving out thing as one would think. With all the exciting things I thought about right behind it would come the worry of $$
As Jessa and I went out to the storage shed and pulled out her boxes of stuff and pulled things out of the crawl space we realized we actually had quite a bit. The kitchen is pretty much taken care of... we need a toaster, a few pans uh I know there is more but thats all I can think of right now. We still need a couch. We checked at the Salvation Army and they had a few decent ones that we could put a slip cover over we'll see...
We got the bathroom pretty much taken care of- we each have one towel lol it will do for now.
Our rooms are more then taken care of we've got plenty of stuff... that will all be moved over later in the week when we have some guys to do the heavy stuff and have Dad's truck.
We've agreed that we want a dark maroon, green, purple and creams through out the house- with the white walls and the lighting the warm colors in there make it feel cozy.
We had our first meal in our apartment today....spaghetti.. here are some pictures...

Here is our front door- the picture I forgot to take on Thursday-
the yellow is a little brighter then what it looks like on here

our dining make shift kitchen table- its actually the coffee table
but we don't have a kitchen table yet. Tim (one of the members here) works for a moving company and he said that he picked one up for us that was left at a place...so we'll possibly have one here soon.

We got the bathroom looking cute- its so big
don't look at me I look horrible - I took advantage of the two mirrors
thats right we have 2 large mirrors in the bathroom.

The one thing I have found odd is the number of outlets- I went around counting them there is 40- my room alone has 7 -thats 14 plug ins -who needs that many in one room!!!
After working on the apartment we came home and cleaned up the house- we're both real tired. We'll have to do some more cleaning tomorrow before everyone gets home but in the mean time Jes and I are relaxing and wearing down...

That's wonderful Jen! I hope to have the same experience soon.
Oh. and I need that many! I already am using 5 in my room, and keep having to unplug stuff in order to use something.
In my book, you can never have too many outlets! Brother Smith built a 12'x12' office once and put in 32 outlets in that one room! HA! Better to have more outlets than you can use than to not have enough.
I'm excited for your girls. Wish I could come help decorate. That's what I LOVE to do!
Are you and Megan still both coming to BTI? What's the scoop there?
I need that many and more. I have too many electrical things to plug in and like Sister Smith said, "better to have too many than not enough!"
How fun to be decorating your first apartment and the fact that you get to do it with your sister is so totally cool!
Looking good girls. Can I sleep over some time? grin
I take it Sis. Smith that you didn't get my email- I wont be able to make it to BTI this year and I dont think Megan is going either I think she is going to go see Micah early instead.
There are 6 outlets in the bathroom now that will be nice :D lol
I was worried at first that we wouldn't be able to agree on decor because Jessa's and my taste are so different but we're finding that that isnt the case.
Mom you can come over any time but why would you want to sleep over- your own bed is like 5.81 miles away :P
Wow--that is soooooo exciting!!! I never moved out until I got married, but seeing all of your pictures makes me a little envious! Ha! What a great time of life. To be out and "on your own," just a couple of girls in your very own place. How fun is that?! It makes me want to come over for a girl party and watch chick flicks and eat pizza and chips and stay up talking and giggling until 3:00am... :-)
LOL Becki that sounds awesome!!
Thanks Becki I hadn't looked at it that way- I always thought when I moved out that I would be married...but I'm enjoying it this way...things aren't always what we plan or what we dream
How fun and exciting! I'm like Becki, I wish that I would of moved out on my own while single. Only, I don't have a sis. so it would have been harder. I'm happy for you guys.
