Hectic Week

Could this week be anymore stressful... tomorrow is Friday hallelujah !! Not because I don't like my job but things are getting backed up on my desk and though I use every available second to do my work others like to take my available time and make me run back in forth signing papers. There is a big event coming up called the International Waling Commission and the hotel I guess has been going through making changes to the hotel to meet the government security measures and such. One of those security measures is that I have government security clearance to certain parts of the hotel that I guess I'm suppose to go (at this rate I'll never leave my desk because it'll be covered in a mound of paper work)which I don't go because its easier to pick up the phone then to walk across the hotel and make sure I don't get lost. Before picking on me remember the hotel is 3 Towers so its not a small hotel. Well all of this involved lots of paper work that I had to sign. I would get to sit at my desk for an hour and the phone would ring sending me to HR to sign something a little while later I would get sent back up to HR to sign something else. HR isn't actually in the hotel but across the street. Its not a bad walk but I was in heels and had to make it about 5x grrr...I had just come down and I got stopped just outside my office door by the head of operations just to have to be sent back to get my picture taken for my employee badge and security badge...by this time I was highly grumpy and doing all I could not to act it. I think I did good.

That was just today- yesterday we had meetings and hopefully tomorrow the most eventful thing will be we get paid :-P

One thing I'm happy about is the director of hotel operations wanted me on Monday to show several of the secret service men around the club extensions. Told me I'd appreciate it... took me a second to figure out what she ment but I guess these guys are good looking young men and she felt that I would enjoy it. I got a laugh out of that but spent the last two days convincing her to have one of the Men's Club attendant show them around. I wasn't getting very fair in pushing the secret service crew off on anyone until I told them how silly it was to have me do it I would just get them lost. :D SUCCESS yeah they didn't think getting them lost was such a grand idea.

Anyways other then all of that its just been a plan hectic week. Tomorrow Jes and I go to get our couch and a few other things for the apartment :D YAY! I've given her time to blog about it but she hasn't. A friend of Jessa's has given us a bunch of Tupperware and China and things she got as wedding gifts that she didn't need. A wonderful prayer answered. We also were given a new flat screen tv (not an lcd or plasma but flat screen) and dvd player by a friend of Jessa's. So Jessa and I after church sat in front of the tv with pizza and a movie and unwound :-D It was nice and it'll be even more wonderful when we have a couch to sit on lol.

I'm hungry so off to see what there is to eat.
