The Most Beautiful State !!

Alaska is truly the most beautiful state ever- there is none other like it or more beautiful. I know there is probably areas that may make you question this but when you see Anchorage and places around here I dont believe one would argue this point. It is amazingly beautiful here.

Saturday was in the high 60's- I had Jes drop me off at the house on her way to work so I could continue to avoid cleaning my room. First thing I did when I got to the house was plop myself on the couch with my pillow and blanket with the intentions to go back to sleep. Its a must that I sleep in on Sat. and when I say sleep in 7am does not fit into that definition. About 2ish Joleesa and Tim picked me up and we headed to Chugach State park to climb Flat Top (its a mountain peak) well we got about 1/3 of a mile maybe a 1/2 mile at the most before I said no more. I felt like my lungs were going to explode and that I was going to pass out. At first I was like how could I possibly be this out of shape but then it dawned on me- the higher elevation was just to much for my lungs. Considering Joleesa had to use the restroom we headed back down and decided to get a bite to eat then head to Beluga Point to do some hiking. I'm so very glad we did. I'd much rather be climbing around on some rocks then hiking up a mountain.

This is Jo and I before we started up toward Flat Top

Here is a view from abotu 1/3 to 1/2 mile up

I've always loved the view from Beluga Point- you have the mountains and the ocean I LOVE IT. We spent several hours out there climbing around. At one point I did get myself trapped into a spot that I couldn't get myself out of without Tim's assistance. At that point I realized a fear that I didn't know I had. I'm not to found of being stuck at high elevations. Tim and Joleesa both had to talk me out of freaking out. But it was so beautiful and so wonderful and worth all the sore muscles I had.

It was quit the climb but worth it- Ive never felt so small and God seem so very big then He did at the top of that cliff.

After that it was about 7pm ( you'll see how sunny it was even then) and we decided that we didn't want to go home so we head about 2 miles up the road and hiked McHough Creek. I never thought it could get more beautiful then Beluga Point but it did.

After seeing all of this care to disagree- isn't Alaska beautiful.

We did that all again yesterday with Micah. I enjoyed it just as much the second time around as much as the first time. I haven't loaded those pictures yet. Its always hard to be the one behind the camera but Micah got some really cool ones for me.

Those haven't made it to the computer yet and none of them have made it to ringo yet. Thats tomorrows project. Today was spent looking at flights and working.... I can't wait till Friday !!!!!!!

Even Colorado can't top Alaska for beauty! I've been to a LOT of states and seen a lot of beautiful places, but Alaska is still my favorite. Your pictures are gorgeous! I could almost HEAR the rushing waters. I'm anxious to see some of that beauty again first hand real soon. The color of the water in some of those rivers is amazing! HOW PRETTY!

Alaska is gorgeous, but...there is just something about these really tall trees here, ringed on three sides by mountains and the fourth is the ocean...the best of all my favorite places, so...I'll stick to Washington. Can't wait to see you and get some great pictures at places that I haven't visited yet.
