Not Really In the Mood

but I promised a post

Convention started Friday night with all members present plus a few more(I think it was like 34 present). The Anchorage church meets in the Grant's garage so it was a tight fit but God blessed Bro. Smith with a wonderful message. After service we went to Village Inn and had better service and food then what Sis. Smith talked about on Wed hehe

Saturday morning was the planning meeting which lasted all of maybe 40 minutes. Then Mom, Dad and I along with Sis. Bishop, Bro. Smith and Sis Smith piled into the truck and went to Wasilla. I had never been then there so I was happy to get a bunch of new pictures. We ate at the Noisy Goose and boy was that food good. I got the ice tea and the lady just kept bringing me more. By the time church was over I was highly hyper. But back to church I had taken so many pictures from Friday and our trip to Wasilla that my battery died but thats all good. Bro. Smith preached another wonderful message and an alter call was given and I do believe people left with a great blessing.


Mom needed the guys to help load up the truck for camp so after church all the youth headed to the house. While everyone was working Zaiah and I headed to Carrs to get food. Never go to a grocery store hungry we ended up with way to much food. At least it gave me something to eat yesterday. Then we played IBuy I didn't win but I didn't lose which was a good thing because in my highly caffeinated state I probably would have gotten annoying if I had lost. We all got kicked out at 12am and so we headed back to my apartment until Larry could come and get Tim, Zay and Micah. Megan was about to crash standing up but I was still horribly energized and had a hard time whisper considering Jessa was sleeping but as soon as they left I went to bed and crashed which shocked me.

Sunday brought appointments and as I said Dad was reappointed to Anchorage. The exciting part and why I was so very tired yesterday was Larry, Micah, Tim and I drove down to the camp ground (its very beautiful but way to far away) so I was able to be in service with them. While everyone was getting ready I helped out in the Kitchen. It was great, I got to help cook but I didn't have to help clean. I gave Bro. Rusty a few laughs. I was making tea and managed to splatter it all over my white shirt- TWICE- shakes head- I liked that shirt too. Play two games of pool with Micah- he beat me once (by one ball) and I beat him the second time but only because he got the 8 ball in to soon. Then it was time for service Bro Smith preached maybe all of 15 minutes but it was straight and to the point and probably one of the best camp messages I've heard. I pray that those that got to be in camp this year took the opportunity to go deeper in the word and in their relationship with the Lord.

On the way back we (Larry, Tim, Micah and I) stopped at a turn off to basically play around the river for a little bit even though it was already after 12am. yeah climbing around on rocks in high heels doesn't work but in nylons is even worse...it made for some laughs. It was a really long night and made for an even longer Monday but it was worth every second. Im glad my boss understood that as well. I think most boss's wouldn't appreciate someone coming in so sluggish and hardly functioning ( I did get tons of work done so I know that helped) She knew how much I wanted this time off and felt horrible when she couldn't give it to me off. She herself even suggested trying to go down on Sunday. I wish I could be there so badly but there is tons of work to do at work. Which helped the time fly because they all come home tomorrow. Sadly the work will still be there even though they come back.
