Mom woke us up at 8:30 this morning- I didn't get out of bed till a little after 9am. On a regular bases I am not a morning person. If I have to go some where or something like that then I can jump out of bed and get going but normally it takes me a bit to roll out of bed.
We are making great progress on the packing. Actually the packing should be pretty much done by tomorrow and then we start cleaning. Correction- mom, Joleesa, Jessa, and dad will probably have the packing done tomorrow. I've got cleaning duty which I am 100% cool with. I'm sick of packing, I'm sick of boxes so I'm very much willing to scrub and clean. I've got the kitchen pretty much scrubbed down- minus the floor that will be one of the last things for us to do.
We faced a rather odd challenge today. My dad caught this really really big Northern Pike oh probably 13-14 years ago and mom "allowed" dad to have it mounted and he has had it in his office along with some bird he shot when he was little with his dad. Anyway this fish is obviously fragile- it wouldn't be very hard to break a fin off or hurt it so we had to be very careful how it was packed. Well in allll of the boxes we had nothing wide enough so I got creative and "made" a box by using two- that thing is nicely packed- lol. I'm proud of my creation.
After several hours of packing and cleaning we went to Eau Claire to bum around. We stopped at the mall because Joleesa needed to replace her flip flops. We first walk into JcPennys and I really didn't have any intention of buying anything but they had a huge clearance sale going on and so I looked through the racks and found me a wonderful outfit for the assembly. A skirt- originally $36- I got it for $4.99 and a shirt originally $20- I got it for $4.99- a grand total of saving- $46.02. I was really really happy about that. Then I stopped at another store and I took a look at some more clearance stuff and found a shirt originally $29.50 (I would have never paid that price for it- craziness) but I got it for $4.99 again very happy. We made one last stop at Payless shoes so I could pick up some ballet slippers for the assembly. I was kind hoping to continue on with my pattern of finding things on clearance but nope- I paid full price for them. They are super comfortable and flat! lol I'm all for heels but being in them all day for a week straight-I'll pass.
I finally get to wear the long lost shoes to so I'm excited about the assembly as far as that goes. I'm so anxious for it to be here- the arrival of the assembly means so many things.
as you noticed- my blog changed again :( this time not because I wanted to. Anytime I put pictures up to be seen it would mess up so instead of trying to figure out why it was just easier to change it. I can promise that it won't be changing for at least well until we get internet in Alaska. Its either Friday or Saturday our cable internet will be turned off- buh bye internet. We'll be in a hotel Saturday so I'll have internet then and Sunday we leave for the assembly and then we'll be with many of you so thus no need for the internet. It's going to be after that that the withdrawals will start -lol
Today has been a very productive day that's for sure :D

I wish I could say I'm never moving again- but I still live at home and I am not married so something tells me this is just the beginning -lol
There is only 1 church in Anchorage which is being pastored by the Overseer right now. Dad will be pastoring the church so that Bro. Grant can be a full time overseer and travel and work the state.
we're renting our igloo- hehe- its a purple igloo- LOL
I LOVE SNOW!!!! though I've been told we get more snow here in WI then they do there in Anchorage :(
The only real difference I for see is all the darkness come winter and then all of the sun come summer- it will be something that will take adjusting too
With dad being a minister in the church we've done our share of traveling- I've gone as far south as Georgia, far east as Virginia, far west as Colorado and far north as Alaska.
I'll see if I can find some pictures to show you. My birthday is in March and it seems snow is a regular birthday gift from God which is totally fine with me I love snow!!!
