SATURDAY
Now the hard part. How to tell you about the Iditarod...Considering I think I have about 300 something pictures that I'm obviously not going to show you all of I've got to pick the ones that best show an event that was awesome to finally be able to see.
Mom had a pit pass for Jessa and I to share and at first I didnt think that was anything great. The dogs were just all laying around and everything but it came in handy as it gave street access which meant I didn't have to stand behind the fences to get pictures. Now if you walked down far enough they didn't have ropes or fences up so I was able to get even closer.
We started out walking down to the start line and we came across some ADN carriers that were selling musher lists and posters so Mom bought one- which it got put in the car when we wanted it *rolls eyes* lol
We were a bit early so we went in search of a warm hat- I couldn't find my hat and it was cold and only stupid people would go without a hat. We ended up at the Army Navy surplus store where about 60 other people had the same idea. LoL that place sure got a lot of business Saturday.
Before going into the "dog pits" we listened to some guys in tuxes sing the National Anthem they looked cold
Then we walked down to go see the dogs before they were all hooked up to go....
Sis Becki I saw this truck on the way and thought of you....
We finally got to the dog pit and saw some of the cutest dogs.
