This is where I work- all 3 buildings make up The Hotel Captain Cook- my office is actually in that smaller building but its not very small. So it shouldn't be a shock that I got lost today coming back from the break room lol. I guess I ended up on the side of the hotel near the mens Athletic club (which I still don't know really where its at) because once I found a phone to call the office they told me to stay put they were sending a rescue squad. The rescue squad was in the form of a Mens Club attendant. I quickly got over my embarrassment and asked him to get me unlost lol. He'll be picking on me I'm pretty sure of that *rolls eyes* lol
It all started while I was on break. While killing time I laid my head in my hands and one of the young Spanish workers (spoke very little English) asked "Head hurt?". I told him a little. He got up and said "you need coffee" . He didn't give me a chance to say no before putting a cup in front of me. I don't like coffee never have but I didn't know what to do he sat before me waiting for me to take a sip. Thankfully he had put sugar and cream in it so I took a sip and to my shock it was really good. I actually drank all of it. I followed him out and was talking to him. Without realizing it I was following him and he was going the opposite direction thus I ended up totally lost.
The Executive Chef came down to the Accounting department today. He was informed that I had just started and brought me this chocolate moose dessert- oh my it was soo good. I guess he brings desserts from the kitchen down to the accounting office- otherwise known as "his girls" all of the time. Between all the sugar from that and the coffee I was wired.
I actually got to work on my own today doing some data entry and filing, plus had more training enough to completely wear my brain out. It hasn't been put to work like that in a LONG time. I don't think I even used my brain like that at my last job.
Other then that all Ive done today is help dad with his pre class work for his Alaska Airline training.
I'm about to get off the computer and work on re doing two of my BTI books because they seem to have gotten lost/miss placed between WI and here. I went to get them together to turn them all in and two are NO where to be found :( its all good they were the first ones I did about a year ago and so it wont hurt to redo them.
Have a good night ya'll

Lucky. I would kill for a desk job. Especially an office job.
But I'm still holding out for something in journalism or publishing.
So glad that the rescue squad found you and delivered you to where you ought to have been. ~giggle~ Wow! A special dessert from the EXECUTIVE chef...how wonderful is that and it was chocolate which makes it totally awesome! What a blessing!
I'm rarely at my desk or in the Accounts Receivables' office they have me going back in forth between my office and the Athletic Club- only place I can get to without getting turned around lol.
In my defense once you get on the other side of one of those "employees only" doors its like a maze.
I guess I didn't get blessed today no one brought me chocolate. I got a few chocolate kisses thrown at me for my sarcastic comment but the person had a horrible aim :P lol
I am so with you on the using your brain too much with office work. I am a secretary for the math and science department of metro schools...and some days...man, you just need a break!
your apartment looks AWESOME! Go you.
