Wow what a crazy busy weekend but so fun and relaxing at the same time.
Friday
I got off early and headed to the mall I was going to go shopping for baby gifts for baby showers coming up- the one guy in our office now has a baby boy and then in August one of the ladies will be having a baby boy as well and then Alisha (one of the girls in my office) will be having her baby in Nov. and I know Heather is somewhere in between that. I got sidetracked by a hair salon and ended up getting my hair cut and styled. I did manage a quick stop in JCpenny and got me two Nike zipup sweaters and a pair of Nike sweatpants. Then it was off to have dinner at Lone Star with Josh, Jackie, Jo and mom.
Mom and I made a final stop at Walmart where I loaded up on cleaning supplies (so exciting :-P ) before heading home. I should have cleaned when I got home but I popped in a movie and curled up on the couch instead. I forced myself to bed at 10pm even though it only seemed like it was 6pm outside.
Saturday
I woke up at 8:30 and begun the attack on my messy apartment. I conquered the livingroom and kitchen (minus the dishes) and then it was on to battle it out in the bathroom. It was me against the tub I was determined to win. I was tired of taking showers that turned into baths because it wouldn't properly drain. After pouring Drain-O down it and letting that sit for awhile I went back at it determined to get it fixed. The drain-o didn't work but it did break down the mass amount of hair that had accumulated so that I could pull it out and trash it. Then I poured down this high powered gel stuff I got from the engineers at work and let that sit in there for several hours. That did the trick :-) no more bath showers :-)
I still have my room to finish- which in the long run means I have loads of laundry to do.
After that Josh and mom picked me up and we went to breakfast and the service and food was so horrible that we ended up getting it free. After that we bummed around I got a drain filter thingy for the tub. Which I was rather excited about. That evening I made buttermilk friend chicken, sweet corn and mash potatos. The mail for the whole hotel comes down to the accounting office and our mail clerk sorts it out and delivers it. Steve our excutive chef gets tons of magazines that have a lot of fancy recipes in them but every once and awhile there will be a good country style home cooked meal recipe or one for soup nothing horrible hard to fix but sounds so good. I try to snatch the magazines before they are delivered to look through them to see what they have and theres been a time or two where he's found something and suggests I try it. The buttermilk fried chicken was one of those. Turned out really good- everyone said they liked it so we'll probably have it again. Then Jackie opened up the newest game to the collection - RISK- Im not the best at it and its a really long game but I like it. I like playing the mission verison better though. It doesn't take as long.
Then Sunday was church. Jackie and Josh came over and they finished the game from the night before while I worked on my CPMA service and then I took a break and we played another game but Mission instead. We had to call it a draw so we could go to church. I did my service on "Little is Much When God is in it" and how all through out the Bible God's army was usually out numbered. Caleb and Joshua were out numbered when they delivered the report of what the Promise land contained reminding the Israelites God's brought us this far He's not going to forsake us now. Then Gideons army God brought his army of thousands down to a simple 300 men. They ended up defeating the army with trumpts, pitchers and lamps never drawing their own sword. Gave other examples such as the three Hebrew childern against the kingdom of Babeloyn. Paul and Silas against the Roman government. The 12 apolostles were given a commission to Go Ye into all the World- 12 men against the world. With God in it its not impossible. There Church may seem so small compared to all the world but with God ALL things are possible.
After church we headed back to the house and had a cookout- roasted hot dogs and marshmellows and then pulled out Risk this time the game went rather quick and Jackie completed all her missions before everyone else. I had two nearly impossible ones to complete. It would have been easier with less players because that would have ment more reinforcements on the bored per player.
I spent my Memorial Day out at Denali National Park. I wanted to take a road trip and that just doesn't happen living here. So we got up early to make the 4 hour drive. It was so pretty granted miles and miles of mountains do start looking alike but towards the end he terrian started to change and so I got some really pretty pictures. I also got to see one of Princess' hotels. So glad they have a contract with the Captain Cook. I can't imagine them being located in Anchorage. Its almost like they've completely taken over Denali. In case you are sitting there going huh. Princess Tours/Princess Cruises is a HUGE thing here in Alaska. You'll see they buses, the ships, the trains and the massive resorts at nearly every tourist trap in Alaska. Princess doesn't have a resort in Anchorage but instead has a multi million dollar contract with the hotel. When May 1st comes around everyone here lives and breaths Princess. The hotel doubles in employment and even we in accounting bring on an AR accountant just to handle the inflow. Anyone like I said its a big thing and it was cool to see Princess territory its so very different from here. I really enjoyed it.
LOL!!! I'm sitting in the lobby and this guy is freaking out he just heard rumor that Elton John is staying in the hotel and wants to know if he can arrange to meet him. *rolls eyes* Like anyone of us would admit that he's staying in the hotel. I'm sure they would lose their job if they did. Silly people.
The best part of the 3 day weekend other then getting paid for Monday and not having to work is I was able to go in 2 hours later then normal on Tuesday with pay. It was so nice to sleep in considering it was an early morning and late night on Monday.
I hope everyone had a great weekend its taken me all day to get this posted and now its time for me to go to church.

It sounds like you're in the same boat as me... My next tackle is the bedroom which means laundry. Lots of laundry.
Loved your lesson! That is a great point!
By the way...
Was Elton John in the hotel??? ;)
