So even though I passed the driving test that says I can drive- having only four days behind the wheel didn't seem enough time to me to set me loose on my own so dad has been riding with me as i get comfortable not only with the car but driving as well. This way too it saves money because he isn't driving the Beast around.
Today though I was determined to take the "training wheels" off and go out on my own. I knew exactly what I was going to do too. LAUNDRY- there is something wrong with our washer at the apartment and I'm not a big fan of our landlord so we haven't called him about it. So when necessary I've done laundry at mom and dads. Due to the fact I've got A LOT of clothes I can go several weeks without having to do any laundry. Our apartment was starting to be over taken though by piled up laundry that I loaded my car up with all my dirty clothes and went drove myself to the laundry mat. Now 7 loads later and $16 broker (is that a word hm) all three laundry baskets are full of fresh, clean, folded laundry ready to be put away tonight. I'm proud of myself I got it all done- I'll be REALLY proud of myself if they actually get hung up and put away lol. I went back to Mom and Dad's and realized that I needed somethings from the store. I didn't want to pay the price at the gas station so I figured I'd go to the Carrs just down the road. Not to far from the house I could do it on my own. On my way there I realized that Fred Myers wasn't that far away and so I figured I'd just go ahead and head there. I walked around the store- so tempted to buy a couple sweaters but yet knew I didn't have the money so I walked away. I want a decal for my car that makes it my own- a butterfly or something that just adds a touch of me so I went and looked around and they didn't have anything I liked. I picked up light bulbs as it seems one light went out and then in a weeks time its multiplied into 4 lights being out. Just did the most boring things possible because I could without anyone pestering me because they wanted to leave. Dad is still going to have to drive me to work on Monday as I've got to see about a parking pass for downtown. Please pray there is one of the less expensive lots open. Parking downtown averages $60- $145 a month. I can't pay the later so I praying hard that something is open that wont break the bank.
I know that this is probably the most boring post ever but it was an exciting day for me :-D
